Gyaru as My Fashion Inspiration!
I wanted to do this a long while ago, but I feel like now is a good time to express my feelings on Gyaru. I would also like to mention that I've been in love with many of Japanese unique and amazing styles for a very long time. I was just too scared, and too overwhelmed by it. It seemed like something that I could never pull off, and pull off correctly. Fashion was something that I always struggled with. It was more of an eternal battle more than anything. I'm always trying to find myself. I'm always wanting to be unique and not ordinary. I want to look good, but also stand out from the mundane. I want to be unique, but I don't want people to think, "Oh, that girl is trying way too hard". I'm not looking for shock value. I just want something that is me, and I think I have found that through the Gyaru lifestyle. Gyaru has opened many doors for me that I thought would never open. I love it. It has given me the confidence, and the happiness. It has brought my femininity to a whole other level, and I am cherishing every little bit of it! It makes me feel pretty, and sometimes, it even makes me feel like a princess. My nails are always immaculate now, whereas before, I wouldn't even think twice about nail polish. I'm ever learning various application techniques, and styles of makeup. Putting on liquid eyeliner is becoming simpler, and simpler! The same goes with applying those beautiful fake lashes. I always get compliments about them! I remember when I wore heels strictly when I went out at night, but recently I've been wearing heels on a more daily basis (even if it's just going to a single store for the day). It makes me feel pretty, and people come up to me to tell me how good they think I look. ![]() yaru has also inspire me to try new things with clothing. I mix patterns together, and actually make it look like they go together! I wear more dresses now. And I love how comfortable I am by all these new changes that I am doing. It is as though this style was meant for me. Labels: fashion, gaijin gyaru, gyaru, inspiration Sock Curlers and Makeup!
It's hard to juggle both a Blogger and a Tumblr when you are discussing the same thing on both of them! I'm trying very hard not to neglect my blog. A few days ago I read a tutorial on some non-heat methods to curling your hair. One of which was using socks are curlers. I was very skeptical because I tend to question and doubt anything that I have yet to try. I watched a video on how to do it and it looked easy enough! I did have my aunt help me a little bit. I put them on at night, and kept them on through my sleep, then I took them off sometime in the morning. I was very, very, very pleased with how they looked and the curls stayed in for the next two days! Hehe, my hair always took to curling! I have also been purchasing more eye shadow and been experimenting with color combinations. I really, really like how my makeup turned out.
